When I first saw this fabric, - Benartex' Sweet Shoppe - I immediately thought of Lori Holt's Row-A-Long. Trouble was there was only one green (that minty green polka dot 4th from the right end). Lori's row had several greens - so for me I had to dig for other apple names - Golden (as in yellow) Delicious, Pink Ladies, Granny Smiths, and all the gorgeous red varieties. There were also no browns in this collection but I think the Fig Tree carmel is just soft enough to work. Lori has already published 12 rows, so now the hardest choice is to decide which row to make next - butterflies? mittens? coffee mugs? sewing baskets? So many choices and all of them fun!

That's a great start to a special quilt! Keep it up!
ReplyDeleteWhat pretty fabric - they will make a great row quilt! Butterflies next sound fun. You go girl!
ReplyDeleteLove, love your apple row, Ramona! Is there a brown apple type...or does this row need to include a rotting apple? lol I'm not apple variety smart, so I really just have to ask this, really. In any case, what a gorgeous quilt these fabrics will make into!
ReplyDeleteYour row is so sweet Ramona! Can't wait to see the butterflies.
