That Haunting time of Year...

Time to bring out the Halloween quilt I made, hmmmm - correct, I did not put a label on it!  I think I still have the calendar around that had the pattern, so I could pretty well guess the year from that.  It was one of my first quilts that I completely made, including the "quilting" stitching in the ditch!  I loved the dark sky fabric and loved the seven little flying geese "Jacks".  I did put a hanging sleeve on the back, but don't have a rod where I am currently living, so my shy daughter graciously agreed hold it for the photo.  When she is not doing that, she is a whiz at make-up and did this to one of her guy friends!   Don't worry - it is just make-up and a zipper!
I'm getting excited about a quilting retreat I am going to next week with Quilt Taffy.  I hope it becomes a yearly event.  How fun would that be.  Reminds me of back in 4-H when we used to go to winter camp.  I think I am looking forward to some time off work as much as the retreat.  Now if I can just decide which project I want to work on while I am there....
Happy Halloween everyone!
